The article presents an overview and analysis of trade and economic relations between the
Caribbean countries in the political and economic association of the Commonwealth of Nations. The
economic trends in the development of some Commonwealth countries and the role of Britain in the
economic relations of the member countries of the Commonwealth of Nations are revealed.
The article provides an overview of the content and scope of the articles devoted to the
Commonwealth of Nations and British post-colonial policy.
The analysis of export-import operations and directions of international trade of the countries
of the Caribbean region which are members of the Commonwealth of Nations, is made.
Hypotheses of the transformation of Britain's influence on the former colonies of the British
Empire and the controlled "overseas" territories of Great Britain in the American macrocontinental
region from political and economic management to socio–cultural, legal regulation of economic
relations, as well as indirect influence through transnational corporations and capital management are
presented.
