Economic sanctions and their impact on economic security

Modern conditions of development of the world system of economic and political relations are contradictory. The contradictions between countries are sharpening. This leads to the intensification of measures of economic confrontation. Economic sanctions are considered by the author as one of the forms of confrontation. The article reveals the concept of economic sanctions and their target orientation. The impact of sanctions on the socio-economic development of the Russian Federation, as well as on ensuring national economic security, is analyzed. An assessment of the impact of sanctions on the development of the oil and gas sector, the military-industrial complex and other high-tech industries is given. The author has identified the directions of the negative impact of anti-Russian sanctions on the development of the country's economy. It is shown that successfully overcoming threats to economic security in these areas requires systematic work, as well as long-term active economic policies.
