The purpose of the work is to substantiate the role of the economic security of the state in the process of ensuring the security of the state within the framework of the formation of a new concept of national security in the context of the need to preserve the common economic space. To achieve this goal, the following tasks were identified: the most significant factors influencing the development of the Russian economy in the current conditions were identified; the reasons for the failure to achieve the forecast indicators of economic security management were identified; The directions of further building new structural and systemic ties based on the formation of new mechanisms for the implementation of national and state interests in the field of economics are proposed. The hypothesis of the study is manifested in the substantiation of proposals to revise existing approaches to overcoming geopolitical and economic risks, to reorient to new forms of organizational structures and institutions that ensure economic security based on the principles of universal security, sovereignty and dynamic development. Such scientific research methods as analysis and synthesis, hypothetical, hypothetical-deductive have been used in the work. The achieved results consist in the formation of solutions aimed at improving the effectiveness of measures to preserve the common
economic space of Russia, neutralizing the impact of resource constraints based on the proposed principles that will prevent and reduce the negative impact of threats and sanctions from unfriendly countries.
