Experience of China's transition to «green» economy and the possibility of its use in Uzbekistan

JATS‑XML (OAI)The article deals with topical issues of the transition of China and Uzbekistan to a «green» economy. The main institutions and measures taken to reduce pollutant emissions are shown. The prerequisites for the deterioration of the environment in China have been identified. The legal acts adopted in this country in order to reduce emissions of pollutants are studied. Financial sanctions and liability measures are defined for enterprises that carry out emissions in excess of the established norms.
The features of solving environmental issues in the Republic of Uzbekistan are considered. The main priorities for the transition of the republic to a «green» economy are identified. Particular attention is paid to the activities of free economic zones, in which enterprises do not always comply with environmental standards. An institutional framework has been identified that creates the prerequisites for the country's transition to a «green» economy.
Scientific approaches to environmental taxation and their use in Uzbekistan are considered. Substantiated proposals for the use of environmental taxes and the mechanism of trading in quotas for emissions of pollutants in the national economy. Substantiated recommendations for reducing emissions of pollutants in the economy of Uzbekistan.
