«Green» economy as a new paradigm of sustainable development and innovativeness of the economy

This article analyzes the «green economy» as a new modern paradigm of sustainable development and innovativeness. The problems and prospects of transition of the countries to «green economy» are considered. Special attention is paid to the study of the experience of Sweden as the «green» country and practical aspects of the implementation of the principles of «green economy» in Russia. The author concludes that the concept of «green economy» replacing the brown economy as a response to the challenges of the global system is an objective process, closely linked and conditioned by such phenomena as sustainable development and innovation. Currently, Russia is just beginning its progress on the path of «green economy», the process hinders the resource-oriented nature of economic development of Russia, the lack of the concept of the country's transition to «green economy».
