The interaction between financial technologies (FinTech) and traditional financial institutions has evolved from a competitive standoff to a complex system of cooperation and synergistic partnerships. While maintaining their role as a key infrastructure element, banks are actively innovating through strategic alliances and investment initiatives. The emergence of models such as Bank as a Service (BaaS) is blurring traditional institutional boundaries, leading to overall efficiency gains and increased accessibility of financial services. The objective of this study is to identify key formats of interaction between the FinTech sector and financial institutions. The research methods included an analysis of academic literature by domestic and international authors, as well as the official websites of financial institutions such as the Bank of Russia, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the CFTC, Moscow Exchange, Sberbank, VTB, AlfaStrakhovanie, Rosgosstrakh, and others. The study examined the formats of interaction between FinTech and traditional banking institutions, FinTech's interaction with the insurance sector, FinTech's interaction with investment activities and asset management, and FinTech's impact on the regulatory environment and cybersecurity. The study concluded that interactions between FinTech and financial institutions have expanded beyond simple competition and have transformed into a complex system of cooperation and synergy. The mechanisms and consequences of these structural contradictions were also detailed.
