Measures to support national exports as a tool for economic development: the key practices

This study is pressing nowadays due to the need to secure the priorities of the national development of the Russian Federation stated in public strategic documents. These documents set the target to double the volume of non-primary non-energy exports by 2024.

The study focuses on the analysis of official and unofficial export support tools used by various countries and international organizations, national development objectives achieved by means of these tools, emerging regulatory practices and the major trends in the development of both official and unofficial forms of non-primary exports support.

The key aim of the study is to assess the existing basic practices of non-primary exports support in national policies. The outcome of the study is the systematization of relevant tools and methods of official support for non-primary exports. The obtained results are expected to facilitate the development of practical guidelines to improve the effectiveness of the use of the tools to support national non-primary exports.
