Import substitution as the country economic security factor

The article substantiates the need for the implementation of the import substitution strategy in the Russian Federation. The main directions of the import substitution policy applicable to Russia were defined together with potential results of their realization. The article emphasizes the role of food security as a part of economic security. The conditions for the successful realization of the import substitution strategy in the Russian Federation were defined. The course relevance to the innovative import substitution was grounded.
