ASSESSMENT OF SOURCES OF TRANSITION RISKFOR «GREEN» BANKS

The article is devoted to the analysis of new risks that are deals with banking sector in the
conditions of transformation of income sources in the financing of the «green» economy, in the

conditions of the objective inevitability of introducing environmental, social and managerial goal
factors into the sectoral standards of banking business. The criteria for choosing solutions for financial
businesses that follow from the UN SDG are already enshrined in the programs and voluntary
codex of institutional investors, and have a growing impact on the banking sector, including in the
field of investment activity. The article substantiates the need to assess the transition risks in the
financial service of clients, and to create an expert infrastructure to assess the compliance of investment
projects and banks themselves with the new «green» criteria, which contributes to the stable
development of the banking system in the interests of the national economy.
