Land degradation in the asset freeze and financial risk system

JATS‑XML (OAI)Target. Determine the place of land degradation in the system of financial risks. To do this, various studies related to the valuation of land and issues of land degradation, natural capital, and frozen assets are analyzed, and the possibility of including threats associated with land degradation and depletion in financial risks is assessed.
Tasks. Provide a brief overview of the status of land degradation research from an economic and financial perspective. Show the possibilities of land valuation from the standpoint of natural capital and land degradation - of frozen and inefficiently used assets, as well as the conditions and prospects for the transition to managing the process of reproduction of natural capital and including the problem of land degradation in the system of financial risks.
Methodology. The methodological basis of the study is general scientific research methods, mainly based on logic and empirical evaluation, as well as analysis and synthesis.
Results. Land degradation is considered from including this process in the system of threats to financial stability and financial risks. A hypothesis is put forward: in the course of possible climate change, the effective use of the land fund and, taking into account the vast land areas, the country gets the opportunity to switch to land rental income.
