PROBLEMS OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENTOF MUNICIPALITIES

JATS‑XML (OAI)In this paper, we study the problems of economic development of municipalities of the
Russian Federation using the example of St. Petersburg. The time period of the analysis is
20142019. When studying the described processes, attention is also paid to forecasts of the socioeconomic development of municipalities as the basis for the formation of the local budget, the
budgets of municipalities themselves and the nature of their implementation. The studies were
carried out on the basis of the data of the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation
and the intracity municipality of St. Petersburg, Kolomna municipal district. As a result of the
information received, primary conclusions are formulated about the main trends in planning the
economic situation in municipalities. Also, suggestions were identified on how to solve existing
problems in the economic development of municipalities aimed at improving budget policy.
