Conceptual diagram of applying blockchain technology in the logistics activities of the organizations of railway transport

The article presents the results of a study on the application of an integrated approach to digital transformations of the organization of mixed transportation of goods at the port-railway junction in order to optimize economic flows. Methods: To achieve the goal, logical and comparative analysis, synthesis, an integrated approach, as well as graphic image methods were used. The study takes into account recent developments and results of implementation of such projects, statistical data demonstrating the growing dynamics of the use of blockchain technologies in an increasingly wider range of industries and quality indicators of the Ust-Luga transport hub (20102018). Results: 1. The analysis of statistics on the use of blockchain technology confirms the growth and effectiveness of its adaptation to the management of mixed transport systems. 2. The use of the blockchain technology is substantiated exclusively on a clearly formalized business process described in the terminology of a distributed registry, that is, taking into account all participants in the combined transport of goods. 3. An integrated approach has been developed to use the blockchain technology in multimodal transport of goods at the port-railway junction, which allows optimizing the transportation process in terms of reducing delivery times.
