In this article the author examines idea and соntent of the organizational and economic mechanism of staffing in the field of tourism in Russia and particular qualities of its formation in the context of the digitalization of the economy in the post-pandemic period. The article analyzes current trends in staffing policy in tourism within the framework of the National Project «Tourism and Hospitality» in the context of digital transformation. A conclusion was made about the importance of developing key indicators that clearly show the level of regional staffing of the tourism industry, taking into account the qualifications and competence of employees and the training of specialists in the logic of «socio-economic strategy of the region - jobs in the tourism industry - universities - special vocational education - additional education – school» to solve the problems of staffing the specialties of the tourism industry in the regions in the context of the digitalization of the economy for sustainable development in the context of the general state of the world tourism system.
