RESEARCH OF CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE: METHODS,LEADING TRENDS AND DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS

The aim of the work is to analyze domestic and foreign scientific research in the field of
methodological support and algorithms for studying the charging infrastructure. The cognitive
method of generalization and system analysis of approaches and global trends in forecasting,
designing and promoting the world charging infrastructure allowed us to identify the main trends in
terms of its location, placement density, impact on electrical networks, achieving a balance between
slow and fast charging. Modern aspects of creating mechanisms for covering costs and payback of
charging infrastructure, processes of complicating development regulations and urban planning are
covered. Based on the North American and European experience in creating and using electric
charging infrastructure, current practices in studying the markets of electric vehicles (EV) and
charging devices, the main directions of development of charging station networks are identified,
formed on the basis of an integrated interdisciplinary approach to the development of technical,
technological and socio-economic solutions to the problems of territorial planning of urban charging
infrastructure. The obtained results can be useful for government agencies, investors, owners of
electrical networks, manufacturers of electric vehicles and electric charging devices for making
informed decisions on key issues of further development of the electric vehicle market and charging
infrastructure.
