Food security doctrine (2020) and ESG-transformation of Russian agriculture

JATS‑XML (OAI)In this article, for the first time, an attempt was made to correlate the key national strategic planning document for domestic agriculture and the agro-industrial complex – the Food Security Doctrine of the Russian Federation and the development of sustainable food and agriculture (including ESG-transformation). The research focus is on the issues of correlation of doctrinal attitudes with the topics of sustainable development and adaptation to сlimate change threats and risks; current analysis of the level of self-sufficiency in basic food products and determination of the degree of its impact on the prospects for sectoral ESG transformation («factorial weight»).
The problematics of the correlation of the conceptual apparatus between between the Russian doctrinal approach and generally accepted international practice in the field of sustainable food and agriculture, the issues of conducting regulatory policy, determining effective mechanisms for the state to work with commodity agro-food chains within the country are considered.
