The definition of dependency in the context of the system of commodity-money relations

The article discusses the essence of the concept of «dependence», its etymological foundations and the interpretation of various scholars of the term in the context of economic theory. Based on terminology analysis, the work presents the properties of an object that allow you to identify its dependency state. A logical-semantic relationship is revealed between the concept of «dependence», in the context of socio-economic relations, and socio-economic institutions, which include the system of commodity economy, the system of commodity-monetary relations, including production, exchange and consumption in formal and informal forms. The property of socio-economic institutions to form a system of dependence on them by subjects of economic relations has been determined. The publication is presented the function of money in the modern system of commodity-monetary relations as a tool for forming the economic dependence of the subjects of relations. A description is presented of the relationships between participants in commodity-monetary relations that form economic inequality and dependence between the subjects of economic relations, including the relationship between the producer and the distributor of funds, between the distributor of funds and borrowers (legal entities and individuals), between large producers that determine prices based on monopoly position, oligopolies in industries on the one hand, and consumers on the other. Based on the analysis of regulatory documents, the formation of a system of dependence of production enterprises on credit institutions, as well as credit institutions themselves from the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, is described.
