📄 PDF Статьи
JATS‑XML (OAI)Objective. To study the dynamics and nature of trade and economic relations between the EAEU countries and Latin American countries. The article presents an analysis of trade relations (export/import) between the EAEU member countries and the Latin American countries (MERCOSUR) and provides an overview and analysis of exports and imports between the Russian Federation and Brazil, as well as between the EAEU and MERCOSUR over the past few years, which is reflected in the corresponding graphs and tables.
Methodology. The study utilizes general scientific research methods, as well as content analysis, comparative analysis, and economic-mathematical analysis. The empirical basis for the study is official statistical data on export-import operations of the EAEU and Latin American countries.
Results. It reveals a significant component of export-import operations between Brazil and the Russian Federation, which largely determine the dynamics and structure of trade relations between the two groups of countries. A hypothesis is presented regarding the influence of BRICS on the development of long-term cooperation between the two continents.
Conclusions. The paper concludes that the development of trade and economic relations between the Russian Federation and Brazil is important for the formation of long-term strategic cooperation between the EAEU and South American countries, and highlights the underutilized potential for economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and Uruguay and Paraguay.
