Problems and prospects of remote work in the St. Petersburg personnel market

The objective of the study: Based on a synthesis of theoretical and practical approaches, the article conducts a study to identify the features of remote work, its problems and prospects in the St. Petersburg labor market, and proposes optimization measures that will ensure positive results.
Research methodology: the study uses systemic, institutional and behavioral approaches; the design of the study is based on the use of qualitative and quantitative methods with triangulation of sources to increase the validity of conclusions. The sources of information were the works of Russian and foreign theorists and practitioners in the field of personnel management, as well as statistical data of the service hh.ru and Superjob, as well as Petrostat data.
Research results: Research results: the study summarizes theoretical approaches to the concept of «remote work», identifies the positive and negative aspects for employers and employees, and identifies the characteristics, as well as the challenges and prospects of remote work in the St. Petersburg labor market. The active discussion of remote work issues is evidenced by the fact that the official website of the Scientific Electronic Library elibrary.ru contains more than 115,000 works on the topic of remote work, covering various aspects, from the challenges of transitioning to a flexible work format to the effectiveness for businesses and employees.
Conclusions: using the example of the St. Petersburg human resources market, the problems and prospects of remote work were identified, as well as the key directions for creating a polycentric city model in St. Petersburg were identified.
