Innovative technologies in the hospitality field, their influence on the attractiveness of the enterprise for consumers and the competitiveness of the hotel

JATS‑XML (OAI)The changes that have occurred in recent years in our country have led to the fact that enterprises in the hospitality sector find themselves in a dual situation of high competition, on the one hand, and lack of personnel, on the other. The experience of foreign hotels shows that both of these factors can be successfully offset by the use of innovative technologies and solutions in operational activities. Their implementation has a great impact on the operational and economic efficiency of the enterprise, helping to attract customers, increase the level of security, reduce room service costs, optimize personnel, increase the average check and, ultimately, creates a more sustainable competitive position of the hotel in the market. To determine the impact of material and technical innovations on the attractiveness of a hospitality enterprise for customers, as well as to analyze the perception of technology, a survey was conducted among consumers of hotel services of different ages and social categories. The survey results showed that the presence of technological innovations and modern equipment in the hotel is perceived positively by guests, hotel clients have different levels of technical literacy and hotels should pay attention to the availability of technology use for all categories of guests, correct and high-quality equipment in most cases protects a business from financial losses, because consumers of hotel services are willing to pay more for accommodation in a high-tech, including robotic, hotel. Conclusions are drawn and recommendations are given on the use of innovative technologies in hotels.
