Reasons for the current soft monetary policy of the Bank of Russia

JATS‑XML (OAI)The article provides a brief analysis of the reasons for the Bank of Russia's soft monetary policy and the reduction of the Bank of Russia's key rate to 4.25% in July 2020. Based on this analysis and identification of the main factors for lowering the key rate, a forecast is made for further changes in the level of the Bank of Russia's key rate in the short term. The article also briefly highlights the main forms of state support to increase the availability of credit and reduce its cost.
